With 157 nations now recognizing the state of Palestine at the September 2025 United Nations General Assembly, I too recognize Palestine as a sovereign nation.
I condemn Hamas’s October 7, 2023 attack, and I also condemn Israel’s indiscriminate bombing that has killed thousands of civilians—including children—and its ongoing blockade that enforces starvation. I call for an immediate ceasefire tied to the release of hostages, the full opening of humanitarian aid, and the complete withdrawal of Israeli military forces from Gaza.
All illegal Israeli settlements in the West Bank must be vacated. Until Israel agrees to and actively supports the establishment of the new Palestinian state, the United States must halt all military aid. The goal must be two nations living side by side in peace and security.
At the same time, I will stand firmly against antisemitism, islamophobia, and all forms of hate. My focus is on saving lives and ending the ongoing killing of Palestinians.
Undocumented Migrants and Immigration Policy
Current U.S. immigration policy is creating a crisis for our own economy. Farmers are losing farmworkers, hotels are losing service workers, and factories are losing essential labor because people without legal documentation are being pushed into the shadows. This is hurting America.
It is not in our national interest to arrest and deport them through violent ICE raids that trample Habeas Corpus and due process. The facts are clear: reliable statistics show U.S. citizens commit more crime, on average, than undocumented migrants. Deporting migrants to brutal prisons in third countries must stop immediately. All undocumented workers must be treated humanely, with their basic needs respected.
I reject the misleading use of the word “amnesty.” What we need is a clear and just immigration system that recognizes economic realities and human dignity.
That means:
Protecting California farmers and preventing income loss by stabilizing the migrant farm workforce.
Establishing fair, legal pathways for temporary workers to earn citizenship—based on years of contribution, compliance with labor laws, and a clean record.
Restoring and expanding legal immigration channels for skilled, technical, and medical professionals that America urgently needs.
This is not only the moral thing to do—it is the practical thing to do to keep our economy strong and our communities humane.

THE VISIONS WE PROPOSE
Undo the Damage: We must undo the damage that has been done and is being done by the current and previous Republican administrations who have been hostile to the democratic model of a government whose role is to serve people. From “Government is the problem,” by Ronald Reagan, to “I am the decider,” by George W. Bush, to “If you vote for me you won’t need to vote anymore,” by Donald Trump, the clear long-term intent of Republican leaders is to overturn democratic government to establish autocracy.
Strengthen Democracy: We must move beyond the view that some people or groups are better or more deserving than others. We can reform and strengthen our democracy by making it more open, transparent and participatory. We need to empower people at all levels, while reforming the legislative, judicial, and executive branches of government to represent the interests of the American people so they are truly empowered.
Strength in Diversity: Our diversity is our strength. All Americans are first class citizens regardless of race, color, national origin, gender, religion or sexual orientation. We must commit ourselves to equal justice that includes the idea that all are valuable human beings.
Strengthen Women’s Rights: Discrimination against women who are not allowed to make their own healthcare decisions must be overturned. Women’s reproductive, income, financial, legal and social rights need to be strengthened. Violence and harassment of women must be overcome by education and equal enforcement of our laws. We must push for the ratification of the Equal Rights Amendment to the US Constitution.
Strengthen the Rule of Law: All people, including the president, are subject to the rule of law. Institutions such as the FBI and the Department of Justice (DOJ) need to be freed from political interference and allowed to function independently with their policies and operations based on evidence, not political favoritism. The use of the FBI and the DOJ to harass all opponents and stop the investigations of wrongs committed by politicians is damaging to the rule of law. Habeas Corpus represents the rights of all residents in the US to due process and to be arrested, arraigned or charged as per the laws of the land.
Criminal Justice Reform: Prosecution often assumes of guilt because of a person’s race or level within society. Police need to be trained to look past their prejudices and treat everyone suspected of a crime with an unbiased eye.
Healthcare for Everyone: When healthcare for some is compromised it endangers everyone because communicable disease does not favor some over others. Thus, we must invest in better healthcare that covers everyone. The goal is universal healthcare, including better and more affordable education for healthcare workers.
Better Strategy on Jobs: An Economy that Emphasizes Education and Infrastructure: We need to adopt a strategy for Jobs and the Economy, one that is pro-employment and pro-environment. This can be done by investing in clean energy and infrastructure development that uplifts depressed communities and emphasizes an effort to repair our infrastructure and promote low carbon transportation.
What’s Good for Main Street is Good for Wall Street: When the financial system behaves responsibly, serves our communities, nation, workers and farmers, it’s profits soar as it shares its wealth with the rest of the nation. Trickle up economics works to improve the financial situation of everyone.
Gun Control & Reducing Gun Violence: Our epidemic of gun violence can be solved by a combination of gun control, preventive mental health, plus social and economic programs that support people and make it less likely they will behave violently. Those with violent intentions will be unable to do as much damage because they cannot access rapid fire type assault weapons.
Reform Our Defense Policy: Our nation must have a strong defense policy that works cooperatively with our allies, does not require a high defense budget that threatens other programs, and strives globally toward a safer and more peaceful world. The US military and the National Guard must never be used on US citizens. The US army is there to defend us against foreign enemies that threaten or attack us and never to terrorize our own population>
Solutions to Climate Change and the Global Ecological Crisis: We are destroying the life support systems of the planet which threatens everyone. Our efforts require ALL the nations of the world to cooperate to end this threat, and the US is the most likely leader in the effort. We will need more effective global institutions, resources and strategies to solve these big problems. We must stop the “Great Leap Backwards” to fossil fuels. As described on the Prosperity Page, this is a major re-industrialization opportunity for the US and the world. As of now China is leading in industries for green energy and economy. But the US can catch up through Invent and Build and then turn around and help transform the world economy for the benefit of the whole world, and for US leadership in exports.
We are a nation of immigrants: Immigrants always have and always will make substantial contributions to our economy. Studies show that immigrants create employment for everyone as they take on jobs in essential areas such as agriculture, construction, and domestic work and spend their money back into the economy. We also must work to remediate the damage done to our Tribal Nations brothers and sisters. An immigration policy is needed for both illegal and legal immigration and is just, humane, compassionate, and serves the nation’s interests. The rates of crime committed by migrants are much less than those caused by average US citizens and the disinformation being spread on this is false. The use of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents to terrorize the population and even harass citizens needs to be curtailed.
