Hari is a retiree and grandfather who could just be enjoying his retirement, but has been activated by the worsening conditions in the US to run for Congress and to fight for a better America.
Why is he ideally suited for leading politically at this time and helping the USA become much better?
Personal
He is the son of a British India infantry officer who fought in World War II. He migrated to the US in 1970 as a young Sikh graduate student after getting a bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering. Got a Ph.D. degree in engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (broad background). Received a Visual Flight Rules (VFR) flying (PILOT) license from the University’s Institute of Aviation.
Work and Business Experience
He worked for about 40 years in the Chicago area as an engineer and manager, the last thirty years in a railway locomotive company, and retired as manager of advanced technology. On the side he operated a renewable energy company titled, “Renewing Technologies Inc” for about 10 years in Illinois (Solar PV, solar thermal, vertical axis wind turbines and ground source heat pumps). He retired and moved to California to be closer to son and family in 2017. On the business side he is the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of CyberTran, an innovative solar powered ultralight rail transit and freight startup company, and he has started a business called Solar Battery Hydrogen Inc to make Hydrogen fuel using solar energy. He has at least six patents to his name.
Author of Books
He has written six (6) books. The first one, “Rethinking Progress” (2005) was about global problems and solutions (using the fundamental aspects of environment, economics, industrialization, democracy, empowerment and education). Of relevance, in that book, he studied and wrote about how Japan had industrialized after World War II, with government and industry cooperating to become globally competitive (it is called a Plan Rational approach). Then he wrote about how the Asian Tiger nations copied this successfully and how China has been using the same method. The next book was “Brighter Climate Futures”, Regent Press, 2020, that addressed all aspects of climate change and offers a quantitative actionable time bound global plan for keeping the global temperature rise below 1.5-2C.
The book of that is most important here is a book titled “Rejuvenating America” that he self-published in 2018. That book described problems with Republican economics and some with Democratic Party economics, pointed out the developing totalitarian dangers and described visions in about a dozen areas (enhanced versions of Democratic Party progressive and moderate visions). In addition, he proposed a novel Four-Point “Jobs and Economy” Plan to economically, industrially and environmentally revitalize the US. He is revising and updating the website
He has been working to update these ideas and proposals for current conditions in the US.
He is becoming active in politics and will fight and serve to make this nation better!!

- After having studied, talked about and written about Climate Change for more than 25 years, he has a good understanding of the problems and quantitative solutions relating to Climate Change and to the needed energy transition, ecosystem restorations and disaster management.
- He is helping non-profit groups in areas such as agriculture and coastal ecosystems as a secretary.
